I started my Real Estate career in 1992. By 1994 it was in full swing in Denton County, I met a lot of good people which I took under my wing and successfully guided them through their Real Estate needs. I felt I had found a calling and expected to stay on that path till I gave up working altogether. Of course, expectations are usually in the way of reality. Well, reality struck home in 1999 when my wife and I were blessed with news of a new member to our lives. I had two wonderful children from my first marriage and had assumed that was it for me. It was a real shock when my wife came home with the news. Sadly my marriage ended shortly after my daughter was born. By the time she was 6 months old, I was a single Father raising her on my own. It wasn’t so bad she went with me everywhere in her infant carrier, and she was adored around the office. We went to open houses, listing appointments, and closings with just a little fussing and crying. But hey what is Real Estate without a little fussing and crying! Ha Ha Alas all good things come to an end. Once she was walking and talking I realized I could not effectively manage to raise her and still meet my client’s needs. There was also a large part of me really wanting to experience the day to day of really raising my child. I stopped working and became a full-time stay at home Dad, and I have loved every minute of all the ups and downs that decision made for me. When she was old enough to be in school full time, I went into the corporate sector and worked hours that let me get up before the time for school and be back home when the bus dropped her off. We had moved onto 5 acres in the country between Fate and Royse City by the time my daughter hit the third grade. We have been here ever since. My daughter will turn 18 in 2018, so as most of you might have figured out dear old Dad is more on his own now. I made the decision to return to a beloved career now that I feel I can give the necessary care and attention to families involved in trying to wade through the details of a Real Estate transaction. One promise I make to anyone who depends on me is I will always put you and needs of your family before any commission I might make. Trust in a responsible advisor is the one thing you will need the most, and that is what I have always built my Reputation as a Realtor upon.
